The only thing that is certain right now is my love and longing to become a midwife and the trust I must have in God to give me the strength I will need. I have created this blog mainly to track what I am learning so that I may use it as a reference for myself, possibly rant a little and look back on it for a laugh or two. My hope is to look back on all that I have written through my journey and at least see growth and see an entire passion for the beauty of birth.
While I carry on through my journey I have created projects for myself to learn all that I can. The first two projects are: one, to read as many midwifery memoirs, blogs and reference books that I can lay my eyes on; the second, is to research and attend births and talk to as many midwives as will let me ask them questions and absorb all the knowledge and wisdom they have obtained.
Step one: Finish prerequisites at a community college and transfer to a university.
I am in the beginning of this fulfilling journey currently stuck in a community college finishing up prerequisites before I can move onto the actual depths of studying.
While at community college (CC) I realized my love of reading and my aspiration to become a midwife have entwined to create a reading list that I have just scraped the surface of. Through the course of this blog I want to read all the books I can about midwifery, write new facts and amazing stories I have encountered and hopefully by the end of this journey and blog my last post will be from a new midwife.
Although this is a journey I have to accomplish it would not be fulfilled without all the help and support I have received from the many who are so close and dear to me, I owe the gratitude to them.
